Hi there, I'm Emma! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) working with clients throughout California via Telehealth. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. I offer a holistic approach to therapy, helping clients work through issues related to depression, anxiety, chronic stress, childhood trauma, and relational difficulties. My work is informed by parts work, shadow work, attachment theory, somatic/mindfulness practices, and social justice perspectives. My approach I utilize creative and collaborative interventions, tailoring my methods to each client's unique needs. The most common modalities I use include Internal Family Systems (parts work), Depth Therapy (including attachment theory and shadow work), and somatic/mindfulness practices. My work is also strongly influenced by social justice perspectives, including feminist theory, women's issues, LGBTQ+ rights, and challenges faced by people of color. My focus I work with young to middle-aged adults, with a passion for women's issues, maternal/perinatal/postpartum mental health, friendships and peer relationships, chronic illness, and those navigating social injustice and hardship. I find my style works best with those who often put others' needs before their own and find themselves stuck in patterns of people-pleasing and co-dependency, accompanied by feelings of insecurity and unworthiness. My communication style I strive to create an inclusive, welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for my clients. I am empathetic and warm by nature but also offer direct and honest feedback in a compassionate and gentle way. I believe in lifting my clients up and empowering them through unconditional support, building a foundation of trust, safety, and connection.
