Eric Epstein, LMFT

Psychotherapist
FL
I am a skilled, dedicated, mature, and compassionate male Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with men and professionals of all ages and backgrounds on issues such as relationships, anxiety, stress, family, substance use, and career challenges. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. In addition to my therapy practice, I am a licensed attorney in the States of Florida and New York, as well as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. I don't believe therapy must be a lifelong process requiring years of ongoing weekly sessions. I don't adhere to the traditional approach of delving into every detail of childhood and past relationships. Instead, I focus on analyzing past and current patterns of behavior in your various relationships to identify which patterns are working and which are not. Together, we work to break unhelpful patterns and create new, more effective, and satisfying ways of relating and behaving for you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My most fundamental therapy philosophy is that the "problem" is the problem - not that you are the problem. I view my clients as being in a relationship with their issue or problem - and we work together to understand that relationship and to create interventions to make that relationship healthier and more productive in your life. I am a straight shooter and will challenge you - respectfully. My sessions are interactive and thought-provoking.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
