What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in both clinical expertise and practical application. I strive to create a supportive and respectful environment where clients feel understood, while also being gently challenged to grow. I view therapy as an active process. While validation and insight are essential, meaningful change also comes from developing and applying practical skills. As a result, my work balances emotional support with skill-building strategies that clients can use in their daily lives. Treatment is always individualized. I draw from evidence-based approaches and tailor them to meet each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. Whether working with adults, children, or families, I emphasize clear treatment planning, measurable goals, and ongoing review of progress to ensure that our work remains focused and effective. Collaboration is central to my style. With adults, this means creating a space where your voice, preferences, and goals guide the process. When working with children, it includes active partnership with parents, whose insight and involvement are essential to meaningful progress. When appropriate, I also coordinate with schools or other professionals to support consistency across settings. Above all, I aim to provide a balanced approach—one that is empathetic and validating, while also direct, structured, and focused on helping clients move forward in concrete and lasting ways. If you have out-of-network benefits through The Empire Plan, I offer a special low-cost arrangement designed to make therapy accessible and hassle-free: Pay just $125 for your first three sessions. Then, only $25 per session for all remaining sessions in that calendar year. I'll handle all insurance billing directly—you won't owe any additional costs beyond these rates. This structure maximizes your benefits while keeping care affordable from day one. Contact me to confirm eligibility and get started.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I take a thoughtful, collaborative, and goal-oriented approach to treatment, tailored to the unique needs of each individual and family. For Adults As we begin working together, you can expect a structured and supportive process designed to foster insight, growth, and meaningful change: A comprehensive and thoughtful initial evaluation to understand your concerns, history, and goals Clear, individualized treatment goals that reflect what matters most to you A collaborative approach to treatment planning, with your input guiding the process Regular review of progress to ensure our work remains effective and aligned with your evolving needs A balanced approach that integrates validation, insight, and practical skill-building For Children and Families When working with children, I take a family-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration and consistency across environments: A thorough initial evaluation that incorporates both the child’s and parent’s perspectives Developmentally appropriate involvement of the child in treatment planning Ongoing communication with parents to support clarity, alignment, and progress Practical strategies that can be implemented and reinforced at home Collaboration with schools or other professionals, when appropriate and with written parental consent Across all work, my goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and engaging environment where clients feel understood while also being guided toward meaningful, lasting change.
