I'm so excited for you to start on your therapy journey! My biggest passion in life is supporting my clients in strengthening their relationships (especially the one with yourself) and living more fulfilling lives. This happens by gaining awareness of disruptive patterns you may find yourself in and learning tools to prioritize yourself, such as setting healthy boundaries and improving communication skills. I support clients who experience depression and anxiety, struggle with trauma, or are going through major life transitions and need some extra support. I'm so happy you're taking this first step for yourself, and I look forward to connecting and starting the work together! My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help identify patterns of thoughts and behaviors that may no longer be serving you, and I will work collaboratively with you to find new patterns to shift into. I also take a Psychodynamic Approach to look back at childhood experiences and see where these patterns come from and how they were learned. Since my approach is more relationship-focused, it is also important to look at Attachment as a way of better understanding our current needs. No two clients are the same, so I make sure to tailor each client's approach to their individual needs. My focus My primary focus is helping my clients better understand the relationships they have with the world around them, others (romantic, platonic, or family), and most importantly, themselves. I also provide support for individuals who experience depression and anxiety, struggle with confidence and self-esteem issues, have experienced traumatic events, or are going through major life transitions and need a sounding board. My communication style My main concern in a therapy session is for you to feel safe and secure. I will show up exactly how I am, and I encourage you to do the same! I take a friendly, casual approach and create an environment that is non-judgmental and welcoming.
