Erica Cervantez, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, past trauma, and co-occurring substance use, especially those who want to better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I'm particularly well-suited for clients who are motivated for change‚even if they're unsure where to begin‚and are open to a collaborative, skills-based approach to therapy. In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, such as catastrophizing or all-or-nothing thinking, and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. I incorporate techniques like cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and practical skill-building to support lasting change. I also utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process traumatic experiences and reduce the emotional distress tied to those memories. This approach has been especially effective in helping clients experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and substance use challenges achieve meaningful, lasting relief.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
