I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, practical, and genuinely human. My approach is warm, engaged, and conversational, while also being thoughtful and intentional. I won’t simply sit back and listen. I’ll work with you to understand what is happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop new ways of responding that feel more aligned with the life and relationships you want. I work with adults navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, and questions about identity, connection, and meaning. I have a particular interest in helping people build healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and the people they care about. I also have extensive training and grief and loss. My work draws from evidence-based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). You can expect a space where you can be honest, curious, and fully yourself. I’ll meet you with compassion and without judgment, while also being willing to gently challenge you when it may help you move forward.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, collaborative, and engaged. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel understood and accepted, but also a place where you can make meaningful changes. I won’t just listen from the sidelines. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer observations and perspectives, and help you notice patterns that may be getting in the way of the relationships or life you want. I tailor therapy to each person and draw from approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Whether we’re working through relationship challenges, anxiety, a life transition, or something that simply doesn’t feel right in your life, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening and identify what can change. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You just need to be willing to be curious, honest, and engaged in the process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know each other and develop a shared understanding of what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, the patterns you’ve noticed, what you’ve tried already, and what you hope will be different through therapy. From there, sessions are collaborative and responsive to what you need. Some sessions may involve processing a difficult experience or relationship dynamic, while others may focus on identifying patterns, practicing new ways of communicating or responding, or working through a specific challenge. I may offer questions, observations, exercises, or practical strategies when they seem helpful. My goal is for therapy to feel both supportive and purposeful. We’ll regularly check in about your progress and make adjustments together so that our work remains connected to your goals.
