“Erica has a way of making therapy feel both safe and productive. She listens without judgment, asks thoughtful questions, and helps me sort through things in a way that actually makes sense to me. I appreciate that she doesn‚Äôt just tell me what to think or feel. She helps me understand patterns, communicate more clearly, and come to my own conclusions. I leave our sessions feeling heard, supported, and better equipped to handle what‚Äôs in front of me.”

Getting to know Erica Paschel

Hi there, I'm Erica! Peace & Blessings! My name is Erica Paschel, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Atlanta, GA, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. I work with adolescents and young adults to support them in connecting both their mind and body. I specialize in complex trauma, stress and anger management, behavioral issues, academic concerns, mood disorders, adjustment issues, and more. My approach My work is informed by a holistic and integrative approach using expressive techniques. I practice nontraditional therapy and Chakra alignment. My approach is shaped by a creative therapeutic lens that incorporates body techniques such as movement and expression—I have over 10 years of experience in dance, art, teaching, mentorship, and more. My focus My present focus is on adolescents and young adults ages 10 to 23. This is a critical period in self-discovery, exploration, and expression, with creative outlets providing another language through which to heal trauma and emotional wounds. My communication style I show up for my clients with a collaborative focus, working side-by-side as a team on their healing journey. Rapport building is essential in creating a therapeutic relationship and a brave space. I use icebreakers, prompts, exercises, and other tools to support clients in processing their issues. I also gently challenge and hold clients accountable through therapeutic homework, actions, transparency, and feedback. This is a space to strengthen their voice and self-image—a safe place to fall apart only to realize one is falling right into place. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been curious about how the mind and body work, especially through trauma and healing. I recognized multigenerational trauma and its impacts, particularly on those who struggled to find or use their voice.
