Erick Rubio, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Erick Rubio, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from California State University Long Beach. As a therapist, I consider it a privilege to learn about your story and the unique circumstances that brought you to seek support. As a Latino, I am aware of the stigma associated with seeking mental health care, and my goal is to create a space where you feel understood and supported. You are the expert in your life! My approach is judgment-free, collaborative, inclusive, and grounded in mutual respect. I utilize a range of interventions-including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy-to help individuals challenge irrational thoughts, live in the present moment, gain self-awareness, take responsibility, embrace risks and mistakes, and experience growth beyond just talking about it. Throughout my work, I have focused on supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, and childhood and adult traumas. I provide culturally sensitive therapy for children, teens, adults, and individuals of diverse orientations and LGBTQIA+ identities. My communication style is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and validating of your experience to support your journey of self-discovery. I will help you identify unhealthy patterns and replace them with positive, rational behaviors. I am positive, direct, and easy to talk to. Together, we will identify and implement coping skills tailored to you, integrating your culture, beliefs, and life goals into our work.
