Getting to know Dr. Erika McElroy

Prior to joining Palmer Psychology, my career as a licensed psychologist included work in community-based agencies, medical/hospital settings, teaching, program leadership, a private digital health company and a national behavioral health company. I enjoy working with clients who are new to therapy, fellow healthcare professionals and others who serve the public as a career. However, all folks are welcome! My style is affirming, warm and usually sprinkled with a hefty sense of humor. There will be challenging times in therapy, and we will work collaboratively to get you to your best. I value being a culturally informed psychologist and ally who is always learning to understand clients personalized needs. I have spent the past 28+ years working in the healthcare field and licensed as a psychologist in Colorado for 19 years. My current passion is working with adult clients in individual therapy. My Ph.D. was completed at the University of Utah and my postdoctoral training continued at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
