Psychotherapist
WA
My hope is that when life presents you with the unexpected, that with me- you will find the understanding, validation and support needed for healing to truly take place. Hello, my name is Erika and my pronouns are she/her/hers. A PNW native and person of color, I’ve been a practicing mental health therapist in the area for over 17 years. My experience has primarily encompassed LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC and neurodivergent populations, those seeking identity-affirming and kink/sex-positive care, substance abuse treatment, and folks struggling with ADHD, grief, mood disorders, life transitions and relationship dynamics. I'm honored to have the opportunity to create an inviting, affirming space where you can feel authentically seen and heard. I'm here to meet you where you are at and help you to unlock your potential for growth and strengthen your natural resilience. I believe in everyone's ability to change but also recognize this first step into counseling is the hardest. Through our work together- you will develop trust in the process, lean into challenges knowing you are not alone, and find a deeper level of self-awareness that brings your life happiness, self-compassion, balance, and joy. If this aligns with what you are seeking, please reach out through my link on Zocdoc. I look forward to speaking with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

My job is to meet you where you are at and also to cultivate an environment where you feel seen, heard and understood without judgment. Creating hope and finding direction through empathy is the goal.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I see the counseling process through an individual, tailored lens. Some presenting concerns require a more compassion-focused and person-centered pathway while others benefit from a strengths-based and solution-focused approach. Collectively, we can work to determine the best fit for you.
