My approach I utilize a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- CBT and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy- DBT, Psychoanalytic, and Psychodynamic as my main modalities. These help to understand underlying issues and triggers, address unhelpful thought patterns, manage emotional regulation, and empower you to make personal and/or professional decisions that are in your best interest while also maintaining your self-respect. My focus I bring a compassionate and client-centered focus to those navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges with family or partners, and major life transitions. My approach centers on empowerment, healing, and helping clients find clarity and strength as they move through life’s complexities. My communication style I have a very friendly, non-judgmental communication style. My sessions are very conversational while I actively listen and provide a safe, empathetic space for you to feel heard and understood. I understand some things take longer to discuss or even learn to put into words, and I will exercise patience and understanding as we see it through. My journey to mental healthcare I became a child protective services social worker in 2016 because my goal was always for children and families to find a safe space in me as a motivator for positive change. I found my passion for therapy in how I connected with those families from a personal love for humanity, instead of just a profession.
