What should a new client know about working with you?

Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) living in Texas. I have been practicing for 8 years, primarily with adolescents and young adults in a high school setting. It is my goal to help teens navigate relationships, stress, anxiety, and any other struggles that they may have. If you are looking for someone to help your teen open up about what is going on in their life and are willing to give them the love and time to grow. I can help.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We create goals that will help shape our time together. Tell me what you want from our sessions, and I can listen, offer advice, help problem-solve, or be someone to bounce ideas off of. What you tell me always stays between us. I encourage you to be the one to tell your parents, and I help you with those conversations. I can’t always promise confidentiality. My areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, self-esteem, peer relationships, grief, self-harming, substance misuse, suicidal ideation, family conflict, and others (just ask). I primarily use Reality, Culturally Sensitive, and Solution-Focused Brief therapies. I take parts of all of these to create strategies for positive change.
