Hi there, I'm Estefania! I have been working as a therapist for 5 years, supporting clients from ages 6 to young adults. I have experience in clinical and school settings, as well as through Telehealth. My specialties include working with clients experiencing anxiety, self-esteem issues, depression, and trauma. I earned my Master's in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support my clients effectively. My approach As a therapist, I create an honest, open, and judgment-free zone. I focus on getting to know my clients in a comfortable way so they can open up freely. I believe this welcoming approach helps clients feel at ease during sessions. I guide clients to the here and now to process deep emotions, allowing internal processes to be seen in real time. My goal is to help clients understand their feelings without judgment. I also explore my clients' past to see how it affects the present. Bringing patterned thoughts and behaviors into awareness is important, and I work collaboratively to develop new, more rational ways of thinking and behaving. I am interested in person-centered therapeutic approaches and in building coping techniques to decrease symptoms. I am always eager to learn new and useful methods. My focus I would like to work primarily with teenage and young adult populations. My communication style I communicate with a calm demeanor and tone to help my clients feel comfortable. I practice active listening to ensure they feel understood. Bringing some humor into sessions also helps clients feel at ease.
