I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. I earned my Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling in 1999 from St. Thomas University in Miami, FL. With over 22 years of experience working in the mental health field and with substance abuse clientele, I specialize in supporting individuals with chronic mental illnesses, including psychosis, personality disorders, addictions, and mood disorders. Therapy is a process where clients discuss their issues and concerns with me to find ways to cope with situations or relieve stressors. I emphasize that therapy is not about being given answers or solutions to daily problems-you already have those within yourself! My role is to be an objective voice, helping you view challenges from different perspectives.
