Eva Chung, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Eva, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I am a very interactive therapist who likes to get to know my clients so they can feel comfortable with me. I strive to provide a safe environment where clients can build rapport and feel at ease. I have worked with a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, couples relationship issues, parent/child relationship problems, OCD, ADHD, postpartum depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. My approach is always to start where the client is. I often use a rational-emotive therapy style but have also combined it with cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapies. Most of my clients are high-functioning, short-term clients who need extra guidance and support. However, I try to work with any client who comes my way and assist in any way I can. Again, I have experience with anxiety, depression, couples relationship issues, parent/child relationship problems, OCD, ADHD, postpartum depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. In terms of communication, I like to provide a safe environment for my clients. I have been told that I am approachable and easy to talk to. Clients often say that I provide a sense of ease and relatability during sessions, which helps them lower their guards. Along with creating a safe space, I also challenge my clients by assigning homework and following up the next week to hold them accountable. Together, we work to figure out what is happening and how to move forward.
