Hi, I'm glad you're here! Especially in today's world, it can be very difficult to feel like a part of something bigger, and to feel heard and understood. Between difficulty navigating systems of care, being made to feel 'other' in our interactions, and even just coping with the stress of our everyday, you may find it hard to find a sense of fulfillment and authenticity in the way you currently live your life. As a queer, neurodiverse individual, myself, I understand intimately the need for well-informed, empathetic, affirming care when navigating the intersections of gender, sexuality, and our mental wellbeing. I hope that as my client, I can help you to take the steps to move towards a more complete vision of yourself, whatever that might look like to you. I earned my Bachelor's in sociology and psychology from Florida State University in 2016, and graduated with my Master of Arts in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida in 2020. Since graduating, I've spent the past three and a half years working in Community Mental Health, working with underserved and low-income families. Since before the beginning of my career, I have had aspirations of coming to the aid of the LGBTQIA+ community with my work, and working in a Community setting has allowed me to come to the direct aid of LGBTQIA+ individuals at a time of great need, given legislative changes in Florida, as well as synthesizing experience working with many other populations. I approach issues with a judgment-free, person-centered lens, and offer a space that is safe for the LGBTQIA+ community, is trans-affirming, and is sex/kink-positive. I provide care using a number of evidence-based modalities including person-centered therapy, CBT, ACT, and strengths-based therapy. I operate within a trauma-informed, feminist theoretical perspective, with the aim of helping you to feel empowered to take ownership over the parts of yourself that you have the agency to change.
