I earned my Master’s in Psychology from Chapman University, which has provided me with a solid foundation to support my clinical work. My experience has given me the opportunity to work with individuals struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients understand how their thoughts can affect their behaviors, and I teach coping skills to assist in changing those thought patterns. I’ve worked with families from many different cultures and enjoy helping individuals understand how family values and norms can impact them as adults. Having spent a significant amount of my childhood in Guatemala, I’ve had the chance to learn about Latino culture, which has deepened my understanding of the challenges people face when adapting to a new culture, environment, or surroundings. I believe that culture plays a significant role in a person’s life and can be a crucial factor in achieving a healthy life balance.
