Hello, I'm Evelyn.

I support children, youth, young adults, and parents as they navigate significant life changes, relationship issues, learn effective communication, alleviate anxiety, and live in alignment with their core values. I practice with unconditional positive regard and non-judgmentally so that when my clients are in counseling sessions, they feel accepted, comfortable, and safe.
As a trauma-informed and culturally humble social worker with a Master's in Social Work from San Diego State University, I take into account that although you are an individual showing up to a counseling session, you are part of varying systems that have undoubtedly impacted who you are. You are part of a family, community, culture-all of which should be taken into account with respect and without assumptions.
I realize that starting or continuing your counseling journey may be scary, but I am glad you are here. We are all deserving of healing and spaces where we can be brave. If you are ready, please know that I'll implement evidence-based approaches and will meet you where you're at with gratitude and compassion.
What should a new client know about working with you?
First off, clients will be heard and treated with empathy. Clients will gain insight about their emotions, behavioral patterns, family dynamics, intergenerational patterns, life experiences, effective communication strategies and will have the opportunity to learn evidence-based strategies to cope with life stressors.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
