Hi there, I'm Felicia! My name is Felicia Murrell. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in California. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor's from the University of Phoenix. I've worked with various age groups, cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds, including LGBTQA, Native, Mexican, and African Americans. I use a comprehensive CBT approach to assist clients with reducing symptoms of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and self-esteem issues. My approach I use an eclectic therapeutic approach including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and talk therapy to help clients reduce symptoms of mental health disorders. My focus I've worked with various age groups, cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds, including Military, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA communities. I am comfortable working with all ages and backgrounds. My communication style I am approachable and like therapy to have a laid-back, comfortable vibe. This helps build a strong therapeutic alliance and rapport. Therapy with me is like talking to your cool auntie who gives good advice and direction. My journey to mental healthcare I did not dream of becoming a therapist, but everything in my life led me here. I have lived, worked, studied, and connected with various ethnicities, communities, and cultures on my journey. This has allowed me to understand and respect people who do not look like me, and the importance of equity, inclusion, and diversity in mental health. Three things are true about my journey: One, growing up I experienced pain and learned to fight through adversities and help others do the same. Two, I have always been a people person and enjoyed helping others. Three, I truly feel I am doing God's work, and my intentions are pure, genuine, and honest.
