Felicia Reid, LPC

Psychotherapist
TN
Hi there, I'm Felicia N. Reid! I'm a licensed professional counselor in SC, NC, TN, and FL. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Webster University and my Bachelor’s from the University of South Carolina. My philosophy is meeting clients where they are and helping them maximize their potential. I focus on marriage and family, divorce, life adjustment issues, anxiety, and depression. My approach to therapy is eclectic, meaning I use a variety of techniques because each person’s life and personality are unique. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Existentialism, and Family Systems Therapy. I typically work with adults, couples, and families. I am most comfortable addressing life adjustments, relationship and marriage issues, divorce, workplace challenges, parenting concerns, anxiety, and depression. My communication style in therapy is empowering, open-minded, and solution-oriented. Clients often say that working with me feels like unearthing a part of themselves and gaining greater understanding. I chose to become a counselor to help others navigate difficult life matters. While family and friends provide support, they can’t always offer the objective perspective that therapy can. Within the first two sessions, I collaborate with clients to create a treatment plan that outlines goals and the specifics of counseling. I believe it’s essential for clients to take an active role in shaping their path in therapy. In our first session, you can expect an open conversation about your reasons for seeking therapy, your mental health history, and your expectations for desired outcomes.
