Getting to know Felicia Santos

Hello, I'm Felicia. As your therapist, my goal is to provide you with strategies to help you navigate the day-to-day activities that may cause stress and anxiety. Together, we can work on building your confidence in dealing with the here and now. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I will equip you with practical skills that you can apply in your daily life. You'll learn to identify your triggers and develop ways to take control of your emotional state. I obtained my MSW from the University of South Florida and received my clinical licensure in 2009. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with adults in various settings, including emergency departments, inpatient mental health facilities, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. In these roles, I provided mental health assessments and authorized admissions when there was an indication of harm to self or others. Additionally, I've managed the mental health needs of individuals at the end of life, offering case management for Hospice, Palliative, and Bereavement services. One of my passions is working with adults, active duty military, and Veterans dealing with mental health issues related to military service. As a Veteran of the United States Air Force, where I served as a medic, I understand the rewarding yet complex feelings that can arise from wearing the uniform. I believe in meeting clients where they are in life and using Behavior Modification and mindfulness techniques to address your mental health needs.
