Felicia Smith, LPC

Psychotherapist
1 Riverway, Houston, TX
Hi there, I'm Felicia! Over the last eight years, I have provided care and treatment to individuals seeking support similar to yours. I have worked with minor children, adolescents, young adults, individuals, couples, married couples, families, groups, veterans, and the senior community-all for the same reason: to provide care and treatment during challenging times. I graduated from Liberty University in 2015 with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. Naturally, my passion is to provide specialized care to those experiencing relationship and marriage conflicts, using therapeutic techniques and interventions from marriage and family therapy. I am also very experienced in providing crisis support to individuals challenged with suicidal ideation, plans, or a history of attempting to end their life by suicide. My approach My approach, aside from being warm, understanding, and supportive, includes clinical interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered approaches, to name a few. I consider myself an eclectic therapist, working hard to meet the specific clinical needs of each client. My focus I best support clients who are seeking help and are open to me as a therapist “meeting you right where you are” and providing clinical support by educating you about your mental health challenges. Together, we collaboratively devise a plan to reduce the intensity and frequency of these challenges affecting your daily life rhythms. Additionally, my ideal client is someone looking for a non-judgmental, warm, and supportive place to unpack real-life scenarios that often induce stress, depression, anxiety, and sometimes trauma. I always welcome clients who want a safe space to talk and be heard.
