Psychotherapist
CA
Hi, I’m Felisa Concepcion (she/her), a Pacific Island mama and licensed therapist who believes healing happens in connection with ourselves, our stories, and our communities. My practice is warm, conversational, and rooted in authenticity, where you get to show up as you are. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way and work toward the life you want, on your own terms My approach to therapy is grounded, collaborative, and conversational. I focus on creating a space where you feel safe enough to be honest—with me and with yourself. I’ll listen deeply, ask meaningful questions, and gently challenge the thoughts or patterns that are no longer serving you. I often bring in tools from CBT and DBT, and I’ll offer reflections, resources, and small steps to try between sessions so you can build the change you’re looking for in real life. I work best with folks who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves, their relationships, or their purpose. Many of my clients are navigating big transitions, grief, cultural identity, or cycles of self-doubt and burnout. If you’re someone who carries a lot for others but struggles to care for yourself, I’m here to help you slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with your values. Together, we’ll unpack the layers, challenge what’s weighing you down, and create space for your healing and growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our sessions, you can expect a calm, open, and down-to-earth space where you can speak freely without judgment. My tone is warm, honest, and sometimes even a little humorous when it fits because healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy. I let you lead the pace, but I’ll gently guide, ask questions, and offer reflections to help you better understand yourself and move toward the change you want. I became a therapist because I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to be truly seen and heard—especially in a world that often asks us to shrink or carry things alone. As a Pacific Islander and Chamorrita mama, I carry deep values of community, resilience, and care. My journey into this work was shaped by my own healing, activism, and love for helping others reconnect with who they are. Therapy, to me, is not just about coping; it’s about reclaiming your story and finding strength in your own truth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We’ll work together to identify what’s most important to yoU, whether it’s improving your relationships, managing stress, healing past wounds, or showing up more fully in your life. I help you break those goals down into manageable steps, always at a pace that feels right for you. Throughout our work, I’ll check in, celebrate your progress, and offer tools or reflections to help you stay connected to your values and the life you’re building. In our first session, we’ll slow things down and get to know each other. I’ll ask about what’s bringing you in, what’s been feeling heavy, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; we’ll move at your pace. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and grounded in trust, so you can start your healing journey feeling seen and cared for.
