Psychotherapist
OH
Hello, I'm Froogh, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy and harm reduction services for adolescents and adults in Ohio. My journey in community mental health has equipped me with a wealth of knowledge that I am eager to share with you. I am currently listed as a network provider for multiple health insurance company panels, EAP plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. I offer therapy for individuals and couples experiencing life transitions and enjoy the challenge of working with a diverse range of people and their concerns. My specific interests and areas of expertise include addiction, anger management, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, grief, life transitions, multicultural and diversity issues, and stress. I am trained in and practice from a harm reduction perspective, meeting you where you are in your struggle with alcohol and substance abuse concerns and helping you set your goals for change. My therapeutic approach blends cognitive behavioral techniques, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness practices to address depression, anxiety, and mood disorders, with a focus on exploring the underlying causes of distress. I prioritize creating safe spaces where survivors can access their natural resilience and promote healing to recover from trauma and loss. Using motivational interviewing techniques, I help people get unstuck from troubling patterns and make desired changes in their lives. I also provide employment and career consultation to help you recover from job loss, change careers, deal with workplace issues, apply for disability, and address creative blocks. In our sessions, you will find an accepting space for discovery, where you can explore your identity, learn who you are, where you are going, and who you want to be. I teach interpersonal skills and coping tools to help you learn anger management and conflict resolution, so you can communicate assertively and improve your relationships. I welcome everyone, particularly those who may not feel comfortable in all treatment spaces, including members of the LGBT community, people wanting to talk about size acceptance, people of color, and members of other marginalized groups. Additionally, I provide clinical supervision for unlicensed mental health professionals and graduate students, and offer consultation for peers seeking additional assistance. If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to create the change you desire.
