Getting to know Genevieve Palmer

Hi there, I'm Genevieve. Do you feel like a slave to your emotions? Do you feel like you are a witness to your life, rather than a participant? I assist people with taking control of their emotions so they can be engaged and present in each moment of their lives. I love mixing a combination of mindfulness techniques, empathic counseling, and trauma interventions to help people feel more in control. In addition, I specialize in medical trauma for patients, providers, and first responders. My experience as a medical social worker for close to a decade, along with my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California, gives me the unique skills to help you cope with and adjust to challenging diagnoses and medical treatment. Similarly, my firsthand experience as a provider in the hospital allows me to support other medical professionals (e.g., physicians, nurses, medical assistants, etc.) with the specific challenges that come with providing medicine in our current health care climate.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The relationship between a client and their provider is one of the strongest predictors of success. Client should expect I will be authentic, down-to-earth and ready to meet them wherever they are.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
