Psychotherapist
GA
Hello, I'm Gerinda Lockett, a Master's Level Psychotherapist (LPC), Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I graduated from Fort Valley State University in 1994 with a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling, and I've been a licensed professional counselor since 2010. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working in various settings, from residential facilities for children and adolescents to adult psychiatric hospitals and residential settings for adult females with substance abuse issues. I've also provided therapeutic services in the home and community for children and their families, as well as extensive experience in telehealth and Zoom sessions. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe in the power of changing thought patterns to empower individuals to address their goals and transform their lives. Whether you're struggling with addiction, anger management, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, psychosis, schizophrenia, stress, trauma, or anxiety, I'm here to help you navigate these challenges. Working together, we'll focus on identifying and altering the thoughts that may be holding you back, fostering motivation, and setting achievable goals. My aim is to create a supportive and collaborative environment where you feel heard and understood. If you're ready to take the next step towards positive change, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to achieve your goals and improve your mental well-being.
