Psychotherapist
CA
Sometimes, we find ourselves at a fork in the road. For the last 15 years, I have supported individuals through life transitions, personal challenges, and helped them break free from old patterns. If this is your first time trying therapy, I know that sharing your struggles takes courage. I would like to acknowledge you for taking this first step. My approach I take a client-centered, strengths-based approach to support you in working towards your goals. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills to help you identify thought patterns and behaviors that no longer serve you. I help you develop a toolkit of skills and resources you can draw upon when you face challenges. Then, I support you in developing and integrating new ways of thinking and being that reflect your goals and values. My focus Do you spend too much time feeling like the grass is greener on the other side? Are you having trouble asking for what you want? Do you feel like making time for yourself is too much to ask for? Is your worry or anxiety holding you back? I am here to help you build the skills you need to feel fully self-expressed. I don't have a magic wand. But, I believe with practice and patience, you can make the shifts you need to experience life in a new and more positive way. My communication style I work with my clients to create a clearing for fostering courageous transformation ?& self-expression through empathic listening & insightful guidance. I honor your feedback and do my best to integrate it into my practice. My journey to mental healthcare Each of us has our why. My why comes from lived experience. I was inspired by others who offered me their warm presence and generous listening when I experienced my challenges in life. I would like each person to know that no matter where they come from and what they've experienced, they own the ability to create a life worth living.
