Getting to know Glori Gaston

"When you make peace with yourself, you make peace with the world." As adults, we are responsible for changing things not because we are to blame for them, but because we are the only ones who CAN change them. That can feel unfair, and it is. But it can also be empowering-you are the catalyst for personal change. You can always take a turn or step in a different direction, act differently, feel differently, and (with the right tools and assistance) heal. I am here to help you with this noble work. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Central Florida, and as a mental health professional, I am passionate about helping others feel more whole, hopeful, and effective by developing deeper self-knowledge, self-respect, compassion, resilience, and coping skills.

What should a new client know about working with you?

"My therapeutic style is personable, pragmatic, strengths and evidence-based, humorous, and at times didactic/philosophical. I believe in mind-body approaches to addressing mental health challenges and trauma. I provide a safe space to process events, speak your mind, find and articulate your truth, and to practice the skills you are trying to cultivate. Whether working with individuals or couples, you can expect my full attention and caring, as well as homework ""opportunities."" I encourage note-taking and provide educational resources, suggested reading/listening, writing prompts and assignments to promote deeper understanding and ultimately further your progress. I hope to inspire and encourage you to lean inward vs. tune out whenever possible. To not stop caring, to commit and recommit in earnest so that you may know peace. "

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

My experience with Glori has been wonderful. She has such a warm heart and I love how personal she is throughout sessions. She is very knowledgable and provides thoughtful reading prompts and other resources to guide and facilitate my journey.
Glori is flexible with her time, and authentically direct. She helps you think about what you are saying and gently but directly challenges your thinking in a positive way which allows for self-reflection and thoughtfulness.
Glori balances providing solutions and being a great listening ear. She keeps it real without being too serious, she’s humorous about things and very empathic.
Glori is A M A Z I N G ! I have tried therapy a handful of times over the last 10+ years, but I never felt like I was ready (or could ever be ready) for therapy. Glori created such a safe space right from the beginning of our first session, and I look forward to each and everyone of them.
Glori is absolutely the best. She is so caring and smart! She has helped me through so much! I have had many therapists and she is by far the best one I’ve had.
