Hi there, I'm Grace! My name is Grace Moran, and I am a Licensed Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counselor with a Master?s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. I bring 20 years of experience working with adults, children, couples, and families facing a wide variety of mental health concerns and needs. I have specialized experience in treating trauma-based mental illnesses and injuries and have provided mental health and vocational rehabilitation services to many agencies, including the local foster care system, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and domestic and sexual violence agencies. I have served as the Clinical Director for a local non-profit agency, developing and implementing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy programs for Veterans and children in need. Additionally, I have worked as a therapist for Sarasota County Mental Health Court, the Statewide Intervention Project for Nurses, and as a parenting class provider for the 12th Judicial Family Court system. My approach My therapeutic approach aligns specific diagnoses with gold standard treatments. I teach techniques and strategies from CBT, DBT, EFT, REBT, SFT, and Gottman, and I am trained in EMDR interventions. My focus While I have worked with clients across the mental health spectrum, I have specialized in trauma for 20 years. My communication style I am a real person, and that shows in our sessions.
