Gregory Owens, MS, LMFT. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience, working with young adults, pre- and post-marital couples, and individuals of diverse ethnicities and gender identities. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. My approach to therapy centers on my desire to help clients discover, learn, grow, and heal. My approach My therapeutic approach includes, but is not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, and Gestalt. I believe that clients are resourceful and possess a unique set of strengths that will aid them in the therapeutic process as we collaborate together. My focus My ideal client base includes young adults, pre- and post-marital couples, grieving individuals, as well as individuals of all ethnicities and gender identities. My communication style The environment I create for my clients is one of non-evasiveness, collaboration, and a sense of peace and safety. During sessions, it is my goal to assure my clients of the power they possess within themselves, using non-directive approaches. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been intrigued by human behavior, and having my two oldest of four children suffer from severe mental illness, it was my initial passion to discover from a clinical standpoint who they are and why. It has been my continued passion to help others cross this barrier of the unknown when it comes to mental health and arrive together on the other side.
