Hi there, I'm Guerline!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology at Walden University and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Jupiter, FL. I also hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University. My Philosophy of Care combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused counseling. I am a collaborative and goal-focused clinician who understands you are the expert in your own life, and I tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique needs.
My approach
I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based therapy connecting thoughts, feelings, and actions. Clients learn how thought patterns influence feelings and interpretations and how to break unhealthy habits that hold them back. Therapy with me is solution-focused, so clients leave each session with tools to reach their goals.
My focus
I support clients experiencing distress from relationship conflict, workplace stress, grief, or mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, OCD, LGBT concerns, substance abuse, and more. I help clients find fresh perspectives. Many clients struggle with codependency, parenting, or managing everyday stress.
My communication style
It's important to feel heard and understood. Your session allows you to vent and speak your mind without judgment and discuss what matters to you. The goal is to leave feeling empowered, hopeful, and encouraged.
My journey to therapy
I have always desired to assist those in need. I believe in mending broken hearts by extending a helping hand to bridge gaps and bring families back together. I believe wounded families should be restored by one word: Unity. I am devoted to helping those in need.
