Hailey Hause, AMFT

Psychotherapist
3950 Long Beach Blvd, Ste 101, Long Beach, CA
Long before I was ever a licensed therapist, I began my journey toward becoming one early on. I was raised in a large family where communication and conflict resolution were staples in my daily life. Caring for my younger siblings, cousins, and extended family helped me develop essential problem-solving techniques and early play therapy skills. I took my first formal psychology class in high school, where I was introduced to psychological testing, personality types, and meditation. This sparked my further education in the field of psychotherapy. Education I attended California State University, Fullerton, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development. While at the university, I had the opportunity to study sensation and perception, abnormal psychology, psychology of aging, learning and memory, psychology of sexual behavior, and much more. Through practicum and field placement courses, I gained experience working with geriatric and early childhood populations. I furthered my education by completing a Master’s degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy at the University of Phoenix. This advanced training helped me develop clinical experience with assessments, individual counseling, group counseling, and family systems. Experience I utilized this knowledge to provide counseling in a group home setting focused on reintegrating young adults back into their homes. The focus areas included domestic violence, human trafficking, self-esteem, and anger management. During my internship, I gained experience working with teaching staff, school districts, regional centers, in-home ABA services, and other service providers. These opportunities allowed me to see clients through various lenses and collaborate with multiple supports in their lives.. What should a new client know about working with you?

In our sessions, you’ll find a safe, authentic space where being seen and heard is paramount. My approach is grounded in understanding and kindness, with a belief that everyone's path to healing is unique. As a trained marriage and family therapist, my experience spans diverse ages, cultural backgrounds, and life stories. We’ll utilize a range of modalities like Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Systems, alongside a special interest in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and "parts-work". Your journey will be about unearthing and nurturing your innate wisdom and strengths, transforming your relationship with yourself, and moving beyond the burdens of past traumas and present stressors.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our therapeutic journey starts with building a foundation of trust and understanding. The process begins with an initial assessment to comprehend your needs, experiences, and goals. We then collaboratively design a therapy plan that resonates with your individual journey. Regular sessions will involve exploring core beliefs, unconscious patterns, and fostering a more nurturing self-relationship. Through empathetic guidance, we will work on recognizing and integrating various parts of yourself, addressing deep-rooted challenges, and building resilience. Each step is about empowering you to access your inner strength and wisdom, facilitating not just healing but enduring personal growth.
