Getting to know Hannah Biskind

I’m a bilingual Spanish-English psychotherapist with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through layered experiences of loss, identity, trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges. I work with folks navigating questions of belonging, culture, migration, family, and self. Many of my clients bear the strain of moving through systems that weren’t built with them in mind. My approach is relational, collaborative, and deeply attuned to the complexity of people’s lived experiences. I draw from anti-oppressive, anti-racist psychodynamic therapy, narrative practices, and liberation psychology. My work is grounded in the belief that therapy can be a space for healing, self-understanding, and reclaiming one’s voice and agency. In addition to private practice, I am an adjunct social work instructor, supervisor, and an American Psychoanalytic Association fellowship recipient. I will work with you to gain a greater sense of self-understanding, increased self-confidence, and a strengthened, more integrated sense of self. Together, we’ll create space for you to show up with honesty and depth — to reflect, feel, explore, and inquire without judgement. I have a warm, curious, and compassionate communication style that communicates my respect for my clients' expertise on their lived experiences and inner lives.
