Psychotherapist
CA
I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique experience. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, self-esteem concerns, trauma, and questions of meaning and purpose. Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and attachment theory, I help clients better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly a decade working as a life coach and have devoted more than 15 years to studying psychology, mindfulness, personal development, and contemplative practices. I earned a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change aligned with their values and goals. The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Hope Matters Institute.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they can be completely themselves without fear of judgment. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where you feel genuinely heard and understood. My style is thoughtful, curious, and engaged. While I will help you explore deeper patterns that may be contributing to your struggles, I also focus on practical tools and strategies that can help you make meaningful changes in your daily life. I believe therapy is most effective when we work together to better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, and move toward the life you want to create. Whether you’re facing anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, or feeling stuck, my goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in navigating life’s challenges.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach begins with getting to know you as a whole person, not just the challenges that brought you to therapy. During our initial sessions, we will explore your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals so we can develop a clear understanding of what you would like to achieve. As therapy progresses, we work collaboratively to identify patterns that may be contributing to distress, increase self-awareness, and develop practical strategies for managing life’s challenges. Depending on your needs, our work may include exploring past experiences, strengthening emotional regulation skills, improving relationships, clarifying personal values, and building resilience. I view therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we regularly check in on your progress, adjust goals as needed, and focus on creating meaningful, lasting change that supports your overall well-being.
