*Note that prior to the first session with me, LifeStance will require a credit card on file. LifeStance providers do not accept Medicare or Medicaid insurance. If booking with these, you will be unable to be seen. Congratulations! Seeking help takes courage. Because trust is built on safety, I create a safe environment in therapy. We will explore what happens that you don't want, and more importantly, what doesn't happen that you do want to happen. We will collaborate and focus on empowering you and helping you improve your emotional agility and skills so you can manage your life in a way that satisfies you. Together, we will create a map to help you on your journey to your goals. Therapy will help you grow personally and gain increased clarity about yourself and about who you are in relationship with others. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor, I have experience with and focus on individual adults and couples counseling. Individually, I use an integrated framework of applied counseling psychology and proven therapeutic interventions customized to each client. With couples, I draw on Gottman's research integrated with The Couples Institute's approach based on differentiation, attachment, and interpersonal neuroscience. I focus on the growth and development of each partner and of the relationship. Personally, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love a good story, in a book or movie. I enjoy learning; the world is so full of interesting places, people, and ideas. I raise vegetables and enjoy cooking. Walking several miles a day is my most consistent exercise. I look forward to meeting you! Currently, I provide only Telehealth using HIPAA-compliant video sessions. Teletherapy is convenient, saves time, is safe, and proven effective.
