I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate holding a master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS Washington, DC). What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer "Down-to-Earth" counseling where we'll not only talk about concerns/issues, but we'll explore various ways to address concerns. Then there's "call to action" challenges where you have opportunities to put into action what is discussed in the therapeutic process so that goals can be accomplished.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Typical sessions begin with simply getting to know you, e.g., your life story/history, your views of self, others, and your world. Therapeutic modalities include: Logotherapy (Who am I in the midst of life's challenges?) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/CBT (effects thoughts have on behavior) Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy/REBT (rational vs irrational beliefs effects on behavior)
