Hattie Williams, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NC
My approach I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor's degree from Mercy University. The most common theoretical approach I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I will help you think about things differently, which can lead to feeling better and behaving differently. My focus I typically work with females experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and self-esteem issues. I also work with males dealing with anxiety, depression, and anger management concerns. My communication style I have a calm, laid-back, and non-threatening personality. I strive to make my clients feel comfortable, relaxed, and free to express themselves without judgment. Clients feel heard and know that I am genuinely invested in their well-being. They realize they are not alone on their journey-I am walking with them. My journey to therapy I want to help individuals change the trajectory of their lives. My journey has been long and challenging, requiring determination and support from others to overcome obstacles. I want to help others do the same. My goals for you Together, we will focus on 1-2 goals at a time based on your needs. We will periodically monitor your progress and either move forward or continue working until you meet your objectives. My first session with you In the initial session, you can expect a brief introduction, an opportunity to share your reasons for seeking counseling, and several questions to gather information about your past.
