My name is Haydee Sierra-Santos. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas. I obtained my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California in September 2015. I love my profession because it allows me to work closely with people. I strongly believe in the power of quality relationships, with the most important being the relationship we have with ourselves. I strive to help people realize their worth, potential, and capacity for change when change is needed. I believe in meeting clients where they are and building from there as a team through our therapeutic relationship. My approach I use evidence-based practice interventions such as Client/Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients achieve their goals. My focus I enjoy working with all age groups. My experience includes working with children and families in the foster care system, the geriatric population, and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief/loss, behavioral problems, relationship issues, and family dynamics. I am also a proud military veteran who served in the Army for eight years, including a tour in Iraq, and I love working with our military community. My communication style I have a natural ability to build trust and empathize with clients. I provide a non-judgmental and safe environment where clients can feel validated and supported. I deeply value the trust and vulnerability clients bring to therapy and never take it for granted. My journey to mental healthcare I have always had a passion for serving and helping others. I love the opportunity my profession provides to do just that.
