I have been providing counseling services for over 35 years. I use evidence-based approaches to offer you the best possible ways to work through your issues. Life is difficult and complex, and we all need others at times to help us through hard moments. I have worked with many clients to help them manage anxiety, depression, and substance misuse. I am passionate about helping others heal and thrive. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University at Montgomery. I have also taught in several undergraduate and graduate counseling and psychology programs. I want to bring the best knowledge we have in psychology and counseling to your experience. Change is not easy, but it is possible. I want to support you through the process of addressing the emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that cause distress. Lastly, I am patient and persistent. Counseling can improve lives. Let me know if I can be of help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

After our first session, you can expect some clarity in how we can work together. You may also feel a sense of relief because you are beginning to work on an issue or problem that you have been avoiding.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
