Getting to know Heather Borgese

Hi, my name is Heather, and I'm looking forward to working with you. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Barry University. I've worked in social services for 15 years and as a therapist for the past 5 years. I've worked across the age spectrum, including with special populations such as addictions, disabilities, and chronic illness. My focus areas include anger, ADHD, school, self-esteem, grief, and loss. I've also worked with parents and leaders on career success and life transitions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is both strengths based and client centered; sensitive and responsive to meeting you where your at and move in a direction and speed at which you are comfortable; while also challenging you in an appropriate and supportive way. I am a facilitator of the work that you are doing and at the end of every session, you should've been left with a gift that you're able to take with you and make yours on this journey we call life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
