Heather Gilbert, LPCC

Psychotherapist
5810 W 38th Ave, Wheat Rdg, CO
I became a therapist because I know what it’s like to spend years trying to understand, accommodate, and repair relationships while losing touch with myself. A combination of therapy and yoga helped me recognize longstanding patterns, reconnect with myself, and discover a different way of relating. Today, I help others develop a stronger sense of self so they can build deep, meaningful connections without abandoning themselves. I work with thoughtful, motivated individuals who may appear to have it all together while experiencing challenges beneath the surface. You may be successful in your career, relationships, or other areas of life, yet find yourself feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or uncertain about what you truly want. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, better understand yourself, and create meaningful change. My clinical approach is trauma-informed and holistic, integrating existential-humanistic therapy and developmental psychology with somatic yoga principles. I believe that meaningful growth involves connecting the mind and body, developing greater awareness of our emotions and patterns, and cultivating a deeper relationship with ourselves. I hold a Master of Science in Environmental Science from American University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado. In addition to my counseling credentials, I am a certified 200-hour yoga instructor with additional training in trauma-informed yoga and the integration of yoga and mental health. My goal is to create a collaborative, supportive space where you can better understand yourself, reconnect with what matters to you, and develop the tools to navigate life and relationships with greater authenticity and self-trust.
