Heidi’s journey into mental health began in 2016 as a school counselor at a Los Angeles Catholic school serving a predominantly Mexican immigrant population. This role, emphasizing spirituality, laid the groundwork for her empathetic approach to therapy. From 2017 to 2020, Heidi honed her skills in private practice, treating individuals with mental health disorders and substance abuse issues. She led trauma-focused female support groups and worked with perpetrators of domestic violence in group and individual settings, showcasing her versatility and dedication. In 2020, Heidi focused primarily on addiction therapy, driven by personal motivation. Her younger brother tragically lost his life to an overdose after a prolonged struggle with substance abuse. This profound experience has given Heidi extraordinary understanding and compassion for those battling addiction and mental health challenges. She also empathizes with and guides their loved ones. Heidi’s dedication and deep understanding of the human psyche make her an invaluable team member. Her mission is to help those battling addiction reclaim their lives and foster resilience in adversity.
