Hi there, I'm Helen! I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004 and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I also hold a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor license with a supervision/training designation since 2018. I earned my MEd in Counseling from Ohio University. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000 and continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children. My approach I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Christian Therapy, and am proud to employ a multitude of approaches depending on what works best for the client(s) involved. My focus I value the individual and the couple regardless of age or philosophical approach to their life or relationship. My goal in treatment is to help the individual or couple become the best they want to be. My communication style My communication tone tends to be direct but laid back. We are in session to work together, not for me to tell you what to do or where you need to go. My journey to mental healthcare I have always felt a calling to help others and to explore the how and why of communication, relationships, and psychological and physiological triggers.
