Getting to know Henry Cuellar

My name is Henry Cuellar, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Originally from Honduras, I have been living in the United States since I was 11 years old. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, Irvine. With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about supporting individuals on their healing journeys. My therapeutic approach is primarily Narrative Therapy. I focus on clients’ strengths and use mindfulness tools to help them connect with their higher selves, creating space between themselves and their problems. I have extensive experience working in addiction medicine and enjoy helping clients explore themselves to become the best versions of who they can be, healing the parts of themselves that need attention. I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where clients can be human without judgment. Growing up, I experienced various traumatic events that led me on my own healing journey. I am grateful for the guides and teachers who supported me along the way, and these experiences inspired me to pursue a career in healing to help others on their paths. I am client-centered and meet clients where they are, focusing on the goals they want to set for themselves. Our first session will be about getting to know you and assessing your treatment goals.
