Hope Dollins, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm Hope! I am looking forward to serving you. I believe we are all experts on ourselves, and I am here to help guide you. I take a conversational approach to therapy, and you will find me warm and welcoming. I like to find patterns of behavior and help work through those to help you reach your potential. My therapeutic focal points are anxiety, stress management, anger management, depression, self-esteem development, self-advocacy development, trauma, self-harming therapy, and overall "creating a game plan." I have spent 20 years in education teaching K-12, with experience also in adults, couples, and families. I hold a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Mercer University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My approach I am a conversational therapist. I believe you are your own expert, and I am here to guide you. I listen for unhealthy behavior patterns. My wheelhouses include DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, brief therapy, and family systems. I have been known to pull from others as well. My goal is to help you reach your potential and find conscious and unconscious reasons for feeling stopped in your growth. My focus With 20 years in education, I have a strong basis in child and adolescent therapy, plus years working with adults, couples, and families. I like to work with motivated clients seeking behavior change. Forced therapy can hinder growth. I live for the "ah ha" moments when clients realize something new about their lives—finding a behavior pattern to change, linking a current thought to past trauma, or realizing something that will catalyze their life. I work best with life transitions, stress, interpersonal awareness and development, overcoming victim mentality, and finding joy. My communication style I am an empath by nature, so I feel your emotions with you.
