Inertia DeWitt, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Inertia! I specialize in trauma treatment and somatic psychotherapy, supporting clients in reconnecting with their bodies and inner wisdom. My approach integrates somatic and psycho-sensory therapies, depth psychology, attachment theory, neuroscience, archetypes, and expressive arts to meet each client’s unique needs and pace. My focus I work with clients who have some experience with somatic work and want to reduce stress, heal from trauma, and improve their well-being. I support those feeling disconnected from themselves or navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions. My approach My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and somatic. I help clients understand how stress and trauma affect the body, emotions, relationships, and daily life while offering psychoeducation and practical tools. I provide a supportive space for clients to explore and create meaningful change at their own pace. My communication style My communication style is collaborative and responsive, balancing clear guidance and practical tools with space for reflection and insight. I help clients recognize patterns, make sense of their experiences, and take actionable steps toward their goals while adapting to their needs and what emerges in the moment. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began in 2011 after I was diagnosed with PTSD while studying dance at Arizona State University. This led me to explore somatic therapy, trauma neuroscience, EMDR, and depth psychology. I later earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychotherapy. My goals for you I get to know each client’s present-day experiences, symptoms, needs, and goals. We work collaboratively to identify patterns, build awareness, and develop practical somatic tools to reduce stress and support regulation while addressing the deeper roots of trauma.
