I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, including 6 years as an LPCC. My approach My focus is to assist you in finding answers you may be seeking and to guide you toward accomplishing your therapy goals by using a Person-Centered and Solution-Focused approach. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) as appropriate. My focus I have worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds; however, I specialize in assisting those experiencing stress or life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and healing from trauma. My goal is that after each session, you leave knowing your concerns are important and that, because you had an opportunity to share openly, you have more direction on what to do or work on next. My journey to mental healthcare Back in 2007-2008, I was on the path to becoming a teacher when I participated in a brief but impactful internship during my undergraduate studies. I assisted survivors of domestic violence and witnessed the transformation of someone scared and hopeless into someone empowered and hopeful about the future. I realized then that this was the kind of change I wanted to be part of. I want to help everyone I work with find a stronger sense of self, confidence, direction, and purpose.
