I utilize several different approaches and techniques drawn from recognized therapeutic modalities including Play Therapy, Experiential Theory, Gestalt Theory, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused, Client-Centered, Trauma-Focused TFCB, Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, Seeking Safety, Motivational Interview, Structural Family Therapy and a variety of family systems therapy approaches. I received a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University Long Beach. I started my clinical practice in community mental health agencies serving clients in underserved communities with acute mental health disorders. I have extensive experience with field-based crisis services, school-based counseling, outpatient mental health services, child-adolescent prevention, and substance use disorders.
