Sometimes life can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, from the people we love, and from the deeper sense of meaning that helps life feel worth living. We may find ourselves carrying stories shaped by pain, migration, family expectations, trauma, loss, or roles we learned to survive within. Therapy can offer a space to gently explore those stories, reconnect with what matters most, and begin shaping a life that feels more aligned, relationally grounded, and authentically your own. I’m Irma Da Silva, PhD, LMFT, and my journey in psychology began at Pepperdine University, where I earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology, followed by a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy. My work is deeply rooted in helping individuals, couples, and families reconnect with themselves through meaningful conversations that honor their lived experiences, relationships, cultural identities, and the stories that have shaped who they are. My approach to therapy is deeply relational, reflective, and collaborative. I focus on helping clients explore the life stories that feel heavy, unfinished, or no longer fit who they are becoming. Together, we make space for the stories that matter most—stories of resilience, belonging, grief, hope, courage, identity, and the relationships that shape our sense of self. I am especially passionate about supporting women, immigrants, and those navigating acculturation experiences, individuals moving through identity shifts, life transitions, grief and loss, existential questions, relational repair, family conflict, and parenting challenges. I also deeply value creating reflective spaces for therapists, trainees, and other healers who hold so much for others and need a space of their own for dialogue, meaning-making, and support.
