Jacob Dye, LPC

Psychotherapist
TN
My name is Jacob Dye, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider and a Board-Approved Supervisor [LPC/MHSP(S)]. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Lipscomb University. All of this means that I am trained to diagnose and treat a broad range of mental health issues, and I am also responsible for training other therapists as they enter the field. I believe that mental wellness is comprised of gratitude, agency, humility, and meaning, and it is my passion to help all my clients bring themselves into alignment across these four areas. My approach I most frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Logotherapy. I also draw from a wide array of other therapeutic approaches and skills, including Motivational Interviewing, Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and others! My focus I am most comfortable working with individuals who are struggling to find their sense of meaning or purpose in life, fighting through OCD, depression, or addiction, or simply wanting to understand "why they do what they do." I am also passionate about working with men who are dealing with various "stages of life" issues such as marriage, parenthood, divorce, and more. Additionally, I specialize in working with Christian clients and clients with a conservative political alignment. My communication style I create a friendly environment with my clients. I like to laugh and joke while also being serious and cerebral when the mood requires. I am most frequently described as supportive, kind, compassionate, and patient.
